Candidates should hold a Senior Certificate, Knowledge in the Grants Administration/Social Security
environment; Computer literacy is essential and a valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
The incumbent will effectively render Social
Security services; screening and completing customer
checklists; receive applications in terms of the relevant Act; Attend to social grant related queries to
prevent litigation; prepare statistical performance templates; review
all identified grants in terms of the Act and Regulations; prepare and process grants on SOCPEN; assist in completion of projects and prepare recommendations for management
Mthatha:

Regional Office
Assistant Information Officer (x1 post)
Salary: R 281 418 – R 331 497 p.a. exclusive of benefits
Location: ICT (Ref.: SAS 14/18)
Candidate should hold a B Degree and /or a 3 year tertiary qualification in Information Management /
Information Technology, coupled with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the field of Information
Management and Data Analysis; Ability to attract information from different database using SLQ
server; Knowledge of SQL server and HTML5 will be an added advantage. Driver’s license is
essential.
The incumbent will assist to ensure that Regional web pages and the Regional Information Resource
Centres (IRCs) are being implemented and maintained; Assist with the provision of management
reports to support decision making; Assist with the effective electronic document and records
management, DRP and Business Continuity in the Region; Assist with the information to provide
Performance and Reporting Analysis.
Preference will be given to African Female / Person with disability, White Female and followed
by Indian Male respectively as at the time of appointment
